Silver for cosmetics

Silver is a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent whose efficacy has been proven against the microorganisms that surround us today such as E. coli, Legionella, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, S. Aureus, A. Niger, among others. The silver additives manufactured by Laboratorios Argenol prevent the growth of bacteria, moulds and fungi, and of other microorganisms.

The experience of the technical department of Laboratorios Argenol in manufacturing silver derivatives has enabled to develop different presentations of high quality and effective silver, obtaining certificates such as COSMOS STANDARD or ECOCERT.

Therefore, colloidal, metallic or ionic silver is used in a number of cosmetic applications to maintain and protect the good condition of the skin, and as preservative, thus avoiding the use of parabens.

In many trials of different formulations, silver has been dermatologically tested and found to be non-irritating.
